All Beings Confluence
The Alberta Pod
AIl Beings Confluence is an art installation and visual experience directly inspired in 2010 by Carolyn McDade, a composer, social activist and environmentalist, when she came to Saskatchewan in preparation for her CD, Widening Embrace. Madeleine LePage, Fennella Temmerman, Martha Cole, and Shannon Carson planted and nurtured the vision that has grown and flourished for the last 12 years. Many individuals created the panels, each representing a single living Being — perhaps a ladybug, a. bird, a tree, or the blue-green algae who first provided our planet with oxygen. There are now over 300 panels and over 20,000 people have walked amongst them. The All Beings Confluence has been seen in over 50 venues across Canada and the United States.
The Beings represented in this “Alberta Pod” were all created in Alberta. They fill space and move gently with the currents, always merging into different patterns & combinations of colour and light. You can see these Beings displayed in the SSUC gathering space periodically. Contact us to find out when you might experience them, and/or arrange an installation.
