Who We Are: A Place to Belong
Evergreens is our Community GSA (Gender-Sexuality Alliance) Program based out of SSUC (Spiritual Seekers United in Community).
We meet most Mondays (except for school holidays) from 6PM to 8PM in the youth room (lower level).
We are a space for 2SLGBTQ+ youth and their allies, where we eat together, play games, and have courageous conversations. Whether you’re new to GSAs or looking to expand your circle, you’re welcome here.
What We Do: Creating Space to Grow
At Evergreens, we’re all about making space for 2SLGBTQ+ youth to connect and support each other.
Sometimes that means talking about big stuff like identity, allyship, and community change. Other times, it’s just kicking back, getting creative, and sharing stories.
We host discussions, invite guest speakers, and organize fun, laid-back events that help build life skills without feeling like a chore. Plus, we’re rooted in values like justice, community, and resilience.
The Monday Meal: Comfort Food & Connection
Every Monday night, we sit down to eat together—it’s more than just food; it’s a chance to decompress and share some laughs before the night kicks off.
Our meals range from mashed potato volcanoes with dino nuggets and broccoli trees to old-school pizza parties and even “girl dinner” (a spread of hot and cold snacks that somehow just works).
It’s not about fancy; it’s about familiar and fun. Whether it’s a classic comfort dish or a chaotic combo, we’re here for it (and for each other).
