Update of January 18, 2022

Given the high transmissibility of the Omicron variant of COVID-19, our desire to keep vulnerable populations as safe as possible, and doing our part to protect the burdened health-care system, we have suspended in-person attendance until February 20th or until the SSUC Re-opening Task Group sees hospitalization numbers in the Edmonton region trend downwards. The situation will be reviewed prior to February 20th and updates will be given on this page and in the weekly Messenger e-newsletter (sign up below).

Please join us online for our livestreamed gatherings each Sunday at 10am MST at ssucedmonton.com/live

SSUC in-person Sunday spiritual gatherings will resume on March 13, 2022. Many are in need of closer social interaction and spiritual community, while we continue to ensure as safe an environment as possible. Of course, we will still be livestreaming for those who are not yet comfortable with attending in-person.

Because we know that our community wants to do all it can to keep each other as healthy as possible, all who attend will be masked, and we continue to urge those attending to be vaccinated as able and symptom free. We’re excited that kidSPIRIT programming for pre-school and elementary ages will be available. Note that a count of attendees will be published in each week’s e-Messenger to provide a sense of Large Hall capacity/comfort.

As in the past, the SSUC task group will continue to monitor the local health situation as well as the Alberta and Edmonton COVID restrictions.
