Affirm Potluck Lunch
Sunday, June 11th following the gathering
Come for our gathering, stay afterwards to share brunch together, find support among the 2SLGBTQ+ and ally community, and engage with our guest speaker, Shalini Sinha, chair of the Pride Centre of Edmonton board, and Gender Studies instructor at MacEwan University. It’s potluck so if you can, bring a plate of muffins, finger food, cheese, fruit, vegetables, desserts, etc. – enough for 4-5 people.

 

Honour Your Connection to SSUC
Sunday, June 25th at 10am
Whether you’ve been connected to SSUC for a few weeks or a few years, in-person or online, do you feel that SSUC is a place that you’re “not just welcome, but belong?” It can be an important and meaningful experience to mark these moments and connections in our lives. If you would you like to celebrate your belonging within this community and let us honour you as an important part of who we are together, consider being present online or in person for a short ritual of belonging in the gathering on Sunday June 25. Spring SSUC “Goods for Outreach”
June 26-28

In support to the United Church global relief efforts and as a perk of your generous donation, the opportunity to help locally!
Donations of $20 or more will get a tax receipt – please make cheques payable to SSUC and note in memo United Church of Canada Global Emergency Response.  E-transfers are acceptable but must include complete name and mailing address for tax receipt purposes.  A reminder that donations of $100 or more will entitle you to bring household and other goods to the church June 26-28 where they will be sorted and donated to assist local folk moving from the street or shelter to transitional housing and we are excited to share that Operation Friendship Seniors Society is happy to take our donations for their new distribution center.

Camp Explore: SSUC Summer Kids’ Camp 2023
Monday, July 31 – Friday, Aug 4, 9am-12:30pm

Let’s Explore: Nature, Our imaginations, Science, Other cultures, And more! Your kids will explore the world and how they can make meaningful connections within it to develop their relationships with each other, nature, and themselves. From the trees in our backyards to the furthest star, camp participants will be encouraged to become the best versions of themselves! Lessons, Games, Crafts, Snacks and FUN! $75 per child with “camperships” available. More information and registration here.

 

Dinner and Games Nights
These are evenings for young adults, single or attached, families of any shape and size. May was our last games night until the fall. Don’t worry, we’ll be back with events for families and young adults soon.
