SSUC is seeking three program leaders
Do you love working with youth and children, and want to help teach the wisdom and values that they will carry with them through life?
We are seeking to fill three contracts for paid coordinators to help plan and deliver our children and youth programs each Sunday. As a program leader, you will offer an atmosphere and experience to children/youth that will teach, nurture and help them develop as individuals, as lifelong spiritual seekers and as global citizens, and to learn and embrace spiritual values, as expressed by SSUC, that will help them to make a difference in their lives and in the world.
kidSPIRIT-ages 5-12
Work with the Ministry Team to prepare curriuculum, then lead/deliver the program on scheduled Sundays.
9 month, renewable contract. Approx. 2 hours per week.
Preschool Program-ages 3-4
Work with the Ministry Team to assist with content and curriculum creation/selection, then lead/deliver the program on scheduled Sundays.
9 month, renewable contract. Approx. 2 hours per week.
Youth Program-ages 12-16
Work with the Ministry Team to develop content and deliver the program on scheduled Sundays. Plan and offer one event per month in consultation with the Ministry Team and/or other volunteers. Maintain a safe, educational environment for youth and leaders.
9 month, renewable contract. Approx. 12 hour hours per month.
The primary benefit to the program leaders is the ability to build close and warm relationships with the youth and children served by SSUC, the ability to have a profound effect on the spiritual development of our children and a key role in their connectedness to our spiritual community, the broader neighbourhood and the world. The program leaders will gain experience in leadership while having support, mentorship and strength of other leaders in the community.
